  • Medical and psychological doctor. Professor of Legal Medicine, Psychiatry, and Pathological Anatomy at the Complutense University of Madrid’s Faculty of Medicine. With over 30 years of teaching experience in neuropsychology, medical psychology, and psychiatry, as well as the supervision of over 30 doctoral theses in these fields of study. The study of the brain, particularly cognitive neuroscience, and specifically the neurophysiological foundation of cognitive functions and their modifications, has been a favorite topic of scientific and research interest. There have been over 200 national and international publications.

Currently involved in two projects: one on Tactile Vision (HERVATneuroeducational project), which has already demonstrated the effectiveness of repetitive tactile stimulation in blind children and opens a new frontier for the study of brain neuroplasticity (with 11 scientific papers published on this topic); and another on Neuroscience and Education (HERVATneuroeducational project), which aims to improve brain activity prior to the school learning process. Neuroscience and Education, Alianza Editorial, 2010, and Neuroscience in School: HERVAT, Editorial SM Madrid, 2018) were both published. These findings pave the way for new directions in special education and classroom neuropedagogy.

Objectives and description

These research studies try to adequately hydrate the brain, acquire breathing patterns, and develop visual coordination in order to improve children’s attention capacity.

To achieve these goals, we have the support of Microsoft, Microsoft XBOX, and the development of specialized video games.
