Early Childhood Development Center

Fundación Querer is dedicated to early intervention through its EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, established in partnership with the Community of Madrid.

The Early Childhood Intervention Center is a multidisciplinary facility that offers preventive care for children aged 0 to 6 who have been diagnosed with or are at risk of developing developmental delays, neurodevelopmental disorders, or disabilities.

Why is Early Care important? ?

During this stage, the nervous system is highly adaptable, making therapeutic interventions more likely to succeed. Therefore, early diagnosis is essential to initiate treatment as early as possible.

Through its private Early Care Center, Fundación Querer provides comprehensive assessment and intervention during the critical early years of development

Who can benefit from this intervention?

This intervention is designed to benefit children between the ages of 0 and 6 who are reliant on others, have developmental disorders, disabilities, or are at risk of developing such conditions. Additionally, it extends its positive impact to their family members and the immediate community.

What options are available for my child after they turn 6?

The intervention offered by Fundación Querer extends to children older than six years, ensuring that the necessary treatments for both the child and their family continue throughout the coming years, up to the age of 18.

How is Early Care intervention implemented?

As soon as the minor and his or her family arrive at the center, an initial assessment is conducted to determine whether neuropsychological evaluation is necessary and what type of treatment is recommended. This is accomplished through the examination of the various evaluation units:

What treatments does Early Care include?

This comprehensive intervention involving the child and their family may necessitate assessments from multiple professionals, including doctors, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and social workers, with the potential for selecting one or more treatment approaches:

  • Stimulation: a systematic and sequential intervention designed for children in their early stages of life or for children with generalized impairments; with the aim of optimizing their physical, intellectual, and emotional potential.

  • Psychomotor intervention: designed for children experiencing movement difficulties (such as coordination, balance, motor programming, etc.) with the goal of promoting both their physical and psychological development.

  • Speech therapy: An intervention designed for children facing challenges in language development, including both receptive and expressive aspects, as well as difficulties in articulation, voice production, and communication. This therapy involves stimulating and teaching age-appropriate communicative skills tailored to each child’s abilities and needs.

  • Physiotherapy: An intervention targeted at children with sensory impairments, with the goal of promoting their motor development and preventing or addressing musculoskeletal deformities.

  • Psychotherapy: A psychological intervention involving both the child and their family, focused on addressing issues related to socio-emotional development and behavior.
