Roseann C. Schaaf, phD, OTR/L, FAOTA,
is Professor and Chair in the Department of Occupational Therapy, Jefferson School of Health Professions, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, and Faculty of the Farber Institute for Neurosciences at Jefferson. She is an occupational therapy practioner, educator, and researcher with advanced degrees in neuroscience and education.
Dr Schaaf has devoted her career to study and treatment of children whose life has been challenged by difficulty processing and integrating sensation. Sr. Schaaf developed the data-driven decision making framework as a guide for creating and evaluating occupational therapy interventions through routine clinical practice.
Dr. Schaaf has over 70 publications and has extensive international presentation. She directs the Sensory Integration Laboratory and the Advanced Practice Certificate Programs at Jefferson, which include advanced practice certificates in autism and neuroscience, among others.
